Food Bank
Local area food banks need drivers, front counter, and warehouse help.
- Drivers pick up donations from local stores. Training provided. You will use the food bank van for pickups. Some lifting is required. Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Front counter volunteers sign people in, do simple data entry, and fill food boxes. Training is provided. M-F 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Warehouse volunteers sort food, stock shelfs, and make food boxes. Days and times are flexible.
America Reads
One-on-one reading tutoring in Lewiston and Clarkston Elementary schools, focusing on K-3rd students.
AARP Tax Preparation
Volunteers provide free federal and state income tax preparation to seniors and low-to-middle income people. Tax Preparation and Greeter positions are available. Training is provided. This opportunity is active from November through April, every year.
Meal Delivery Drivers
Pick up nutritious meals from a senior meal site and take the meals to homebound people. You can help every day or choose a day of the week that works best with your schedule. You must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Meal Site - Kitchen help
Help to portion out food, pack cold items, and seal meals for home delivery or carry out. Choose what days you want to help, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon
