BARBARA BUSH, DIRECTOR: As Director of the WA-ID Volunteer Center Barbara is responsible for a variety of duties, such as: applying for and securing both federal and non-federal grant money enabling our Volunteer Center to exist financially. We presently receive funding from the Corps for National Service, Nez Perce County, State of Washington, Twin County United Way, Washington SHIBA, Idaho SHIBA, VALCAN, City of Moscow, Moscow United Way, Clearwater County, Rotary and Albertsons. Barbara is also responsible for any fundraising projects we have such as the Health & Fitness Fair and numerous other fundraising endeavors which change from year to year. She also manages up to eight part-time employees and oversees the supervision of over 800 volunteers in seven different counties (Asotin and Garfield in the state of Washington and NezPerce, Latah, Lewis, Idaho, and Clearwater in the state of Idaho). Barbara is presently the Vice-President of the Washington Association of RSVP Directors, and Regional Delegate to the National RSVP Directors Association. As a result, she plays an integral part in their planning and training activities.
LINDA VACURA, FINANCIAL MANAGER: Linda is responsible for the fiscal operation of the Volunteer Center. Her duties include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, preparing monthly financial reports for our Board of Directors and quarterly and semi-annual reports for various funding agencies. Linda prepares the monthly travel reimbursement checks for those volunteers who consider it to be a financial hardship to volunteer at one of our work stations without travel reimbursement to and from the job site. She also assists in any fundraising activities.
ADRIENNE BENNETT, Program Capacity Manager: Adrienne manages volunteers in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, Latah County, Asotin County & Garfield County. Adrienne places volunteers with non-profit agencies that strive to meet community needs. Adrienne also coordinates Done in a Day volunteer projects and coordinates with Cathy in volunteer recognition. A list of volunteer opportunities written by Adrienne also appears in the “Golden Times” (published by the Lewiston Tribune) the first Monday of every month. CATHY ROBINSON, AMERICORP VISTA COORDINATOR, America Reads, VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: Cathy recruits and places volunteers in local elementary schools, in both Lewiston and Clarkston to help those students who are not reading at grade level. Cathy also coordinates Done in a Day volunteer projects and coordinates with Adrienne in volunteer recognition. Cathy manages volunteers in Nez Perce and Latah Counties. Cathy places volunteers with non-profit agencies that strive to meet community needs. MARLENE ROBERTS, AMERICORP VISTA, Program Coordinator Fit For Life Fall Prevention Program, VOLUNTEER SERVICE ASSISTANT:
RONA MESKE, VOLUNTEER SERVICE ASSISTANT: Rona assists staff one day a week by calling volunteers to match them up with an event request in which we have been contacted to provide volunteer assistance. Rona also serves as our receptionist by answering the phone, taking messages, making appointments, helping with mailings, and directing people to their scheduled appointments.
SUSAN BELDING, PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Orofino Office: Susan supervises volunteers in Clearwater, Lewis, and Idaho counties. You may contact Susan if you need help with SHIBA questions (Medicare, Part D). The Orofino Volunteer Center office also has a very active Ombudsman Program. Susan has volunteer opportunities in the local thrift shop, Clearwater Quilters, meal sites in Orofino and Kamiah, Clearwater Valley Hospital as a Blood Bank Auxiliary Worker, and Project Warm-Up, just to name a few. Susan a;so works closely with the local organizations, such as Kiwanis, in providing local volunteers.
